The Chinchilla Hose Company utilizes the Knox-Box Rapid Entry System, and currently the Township of South Abington has an Ordinance requiring any commercial structure with an alarm or suppression system to purchase and install a Knox-Box on the building. Many residents have purchased and installed the same key safe on gates and houses to making accessing their property easier and faster in the event of an emergency. *
A Knox-Box, known officially as the KNOX-BOX Rapid Entry System, is a small, wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for fire departments, Emergency Medical Services, and sometimes police to retrieve in emergency situations.
